Interesting Facts

"Samuel Smith's" India Ale is a classic Indian ale brewed on well water, barley malt and a solid portion of specially selected fragrant British hops. He underwent fermentation in stone Yorkshire vessels, which provided the drink with completeness, complexity of taste and a bright hop aroma. The label is stylized under the original form of the brewery, which she used as a supplier of beer to the Armed Forces of Queen Victoria. "Samuel Smiths" Indian ale is characterized by the color of the golden sunset, refined malt flavor and an emphasis on hops from the best gardens in the UK.

Producer's description

Samuel Smith manufactures its products at the oldest brewery in Yorkshire - Old Brewery in Tadkaster. Traditional methods of making foamy naptika are carefully stored at the plant, where there is still own cooper, restoring and repairing old oak barrels. The entire range of "Samuel Smith's" beer ripens in these barrels, which are used by the method of manual overflow.

The original Old Brewery well, excavated in 1758, still gives the cleanest water for beer. It is mined from a depth of 85 feet and gives the drink a special, slightly mineral flavor. All varieties of "Samuel Smith's" beer (except for Sovereign and Extra Stout) are fermented in stone Yorkshire vessels, which give the product the most intense taste. For fermentation, the same strains of yeast are used as in the 19th century.

Samuel Smith's beer is produced exclusively from natural ingredients, without chemical preservatives, flavor enhancers, sweeteners and coloring agents. All products (except Old Brewery Bitter and Yorkshire Stingo) are suitable for a vegan diet.
