Producer's description
Permalko is one of the oldest producers of strong alcoholic beverages in the Urals, and is also a member of the TOP-20 companies in Russia for the production of alcoholic beverages. The opening of the Perm distillery is dated January 1, 1985. Sergei Witte, Minister of Finance and reformer of the boom of the late 19th century, endorsed the acquisition of the plant into state property.
In 1918, after the adoption of the "dry law", the enterprise ceased its activities. During the Second World War, the plant operated under conditions of mobilization of the rear. After the end of the Great Patriotic War and until 1985, the Perm distillery was at the peak of popularity. The current name of Permalco was obtained after privatization in 1993.
1998 was a year of bankruptcy for the company, however, after 5 years, the debt was restructured and a new round in the development of the enterprise began. In 2006, an international group of SPI acquired a controlling stake in the plant. During this period, the production department was modernized. To date, Permalco is a promising, growing company certified to ISO 22000: 2005. The company's products are exported to many countries around the world.
