During Prohibition in the USA (1929-1933), gangsters such as Al Capone bought cheap illegal alcohol produced in small towns and brought it to the center. The close attention of the police to the illegal production of alcohol forced dealers to work exclusively at night. Apparently, here the roots of the romantic name of whiskey lie - "moonshine" in translation from English means both "moonshine" and "moonlight". The production of banned alcohol was only one part of the task, and the delivery of products to the consumer was no less important and dangerous. This work was done by bootleggers. They transported alcohol across the border of Canada or through the "dry" states. Usually they were professional racers whose fast cars were converted for heavy luggage. Drivers had to drive at night to avoid meeting with the police. So they got the nickname "Moonshine Runners" ("Moonshine Couriers").
"Moonshine Runners" Straight Bourbon is made in the United States according to the highest standards of the finest Scotch whiskeys. The beverage label design incorporates graphic elements of craft whiskey to highlight the “dark” past of the contents. The manufacturer recommends enjoying the drink in its pure form, using it in cocktails, as an additive to tea or coffee.

Founded in 1991, Sodiko started with 2 bottling lines. Production was mainly focused on carbonated soft drinks. The company can proudly say that they have improved bottling technology and increased the shelf life of sparkling juices. The start of the company coincided with the changing situation in Europe after the fall of the Berlin Wall. The fall of the Iron Curtain paved the way for Eastern European markets, and so the company began producing alcohol. In 1996, Sodiko built their own winery. Recognizing the importance of growth and investment, Sodiko added the 6th production line, in 2008 received a BRC certificate, and in 2015 opened a new warehouse and offices.
