The wine is ruby red in color with purple highlights.
Taste wine - rounded, balanced, intense, with hints of plum, black fruit and seductive nuances of dark chocolate. Long, refined finish with touches of oak and tobacco.
The wine is concentrated, powerful flavor, which is dominated by tones of prunes, fruit accents and black berries, nuances of cigars and light notes of honey. Refined, rich bouquet.
The wine will be an excellent complement to the smoked duck, pork dishes, spicy meat or fish dishes.
Interesting Facts
Dry red wine Cloof, Pinotage is created from the same grape varieties, which were planted more vines in 1976-1987. Grapes are grown in areas near the town of Darling, Western Cape is considered the center of the region. In the process of vinification of the must is soaked for 4 days, and then another 4 days maceration is carried on the skin and malolactic fermentation. The wine is placed in oak barriques (33% - new) for 15 months for aging.
Kloof, Pinotage is not only well the features of the terroir, but also demonstrates the experience and skill of winemakers Cloof. Ruby wine has a deep color, rich fruit flavor and aroma elegant. Producer's description
Cloof - South African wine company representing Darling region. Its name comes from the English word "cloof", meaning "cleft", "valley between the hills." However, in the interpretation of the company's name is written in an old-fashioned Dutch style with "C" letter, and the winery logo symbolizes the contours plowed slopes. Economy range is quite wide, with the main aim Cloof management sees the popularization of traditional South African wines. Kloof Vineyards cover nearly 400 hectares, which allows to ensure the company's needs. Within two decades the estate Kloof runs the same family. Every year, the area of vineyards increased, and most of the plots set aside for the cultivation of grapes for the brand Bush Vines.
