Producer's description
The history of the Kaluga Distillery Crystal is rooted in the beginning of the 20th century, when the State Wine Warehouse was founded in Kaluga. The factory fell to many trials in the form of a revolutionary movement, two world wars and German occupation, because of which all stocks of alcohol were destroyed so that they would not go to the enemy. In the post-war period, the enterprise's activity was restored, and it remained one of the largest industries in the Soviet Union. The plant managed to survive during the Prohibition, when output was reduced by 50%, and in the dashing 90s. Throughout its history, “Crystal” has developed, introducing advanced technologies and the best production formulas, making the brand of Kaluga vodka recognizable not only in Russia but also abroad.
In 2018, the old factory found a new life in the city of Obninsk. Modern equipment and the highest production capacities have significantly expanded the product range, the annual output has increased to 40 million bottles.
