Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Riserva - a delightful red Italian wine - powerful and rich. Its name translates as "noble wine of Montepulciano." The first mention of this fault occur in the distant 14th century. Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Riserva is produced from selected grapes grown in vineyards with a total area of 170 hectares, 93 of which are occupied by vines for this fine wine. Height vineyards 350-400 meters above sea level, the soil is a mixture of limestone and clay. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, then the wine is aged for 12 months in French oak barrels and 12 months in bottles.
Fattoria del Cerro farm was acquired by Saiagricola SpA in 1978. It is the largest in the region Montepulciano. The total area of vineyards farming - 600 hectares, of which 170 are under vines ha.
93 hectares of vineyards used for the production of Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, 36 hectares - Rosso di Montepulciano, 20 hectares - Chianti Colli Senesi, and 21 hectares grow varieties: Colorino, Merlot and Chardonnay. Fattoria del Cerro vineyards are located in the south of Montepulciano at an altitude of 350-400 meters above sea level, the climate of the region is stable, which ensures a good maturation of Italian grapes. Space and different exposure of vineyards allows you to choose the best grapes for the production of high quality wines. Prugnolo Gentile, a variety that is used for the production of wine Nobile di Montepulciano, - is the embodiment of a well-known local Sangiovese, which for centuries has adapted to the conditions here. Vino Nobile is available in three different versions (normal Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG, Nobile di Montepulciano Riserva DOCG and Nobile di Montepulciano "Antica Chiusina" DOCG).
To purchase local wine structure required a long maceration. The farm oenological practices post maceration - maintaining the pulp at about 10-12 days after the primary fermentation. Here is completely controlled by the course malolactic fermentation. Riserva wines maceration lasts about 25 days.

The Fattoria del Cerro estate was acquired by Saiagricola SpA in 1978. It is the largest in the Montepulciano region. The total area of the farm is 600 hectares, of which the vineyards account for 181 hectares, including 93 hectares used for the production of Vino Nobile di Montepulciano. The Fattoria del Cerro vineyards are located in the south of Montepulciano at an altitude of 350-400 meters above sea level, the microclimate of this region is stable, which contributes to good ripening of the grapes.
The spaciousness and different exposition of the vineyards allows you to choose the best berries for the production of high-quality wines. Pruniolo Gentile (the variety used to make Nobile di Montepulciano wine) is the local incarnation of the well-known Sangiovese, which has adapted to the local conditions over the centuries. Wine Nobile is produced in three different versions (the usual Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG, Nobile di Montepulciano Riserva DOCG and Nobile di Montepulciano "Antica Chiusina" DOCG). Long-term maceration is required for the wine to acquire a structure. On the farm, winemakers practice postmaceration - aging on the pulp for about 10-12 days after the main fermentation.
