Producer's description
Imedhia Gestioni is one of the oldest companies in the province of Piacenza, founded in 1500 and becoming the first wine producer in the region at the time. The company reached its peak in the early 1800s, when it was owned by Maria Luigia of Austria, the second wife of Napoleon Bonaparte, who during the French domination in northern Italy was the duchess of Parma, Piacenza and Guvastalla. Willa Oppie was the summer residence of Maria Louise of Austria, and it was here that the international grape varieties were cultivated here.
Currently, Imedhia Gestioni, in addition to the main flagship brand "Villa Oppi", owns another 15 wineries that produce vintage wines from different regions. In addition, Imedia Gestioni is the official producer and licensee of a special wine line developed for the Tonino Lamborghini group. The company owns a production capacity of more than 5 million bottles of 60 kinds of wines per year.
