Autumn and December 2010 were characterized by cold weather with frequent showers. The first months of 2011, by contrast, were very dry, and spring - early. Warm weather in early April led to an early bud break, about 10 days earlier than the stipulated period. Mild temperatures and little precipitation contributed to the growth and development of the crop. In August and September, the vines suffered from the heat. The harvest began in mid-September and continues until the end of the month. The grapes were separated from the stalks and soft pressing passed. Fermentation in stainless steel tanks began the day after the crushing and lasted 5-7 days, maceration on the skins lasted for 12 days. Sangiovese fermentation temperature did not exceed 30 ° C, thereby contributing to the favorable extraction of color and tannins. After malolactic fermentation during October and November, the wine is aged in barrels of French and Hungarian oak. Bottling wine took place in July 2013.
