Tasting Notes
Wine of deep, dark ruby red color.
The wine has a fresh taste with notes of Grenache enveloped tannins, balanced acidity surprisingly, with dominant fruit tones, enhanced hints of spice and cocoa.
The aroma of wine is a refined mixture of tones of fresh fruits, strawberries and plums, pepper and nutmeg, with smoky notes to complete.
Wine wonderfully suited to poultry dishes, especially cooked with sauce on a wine basis, using olive oil and spices (such as curry, ginger). Undoubtedly, the wine goes well with red meats and cheeses.

Dry red wine Shatenef-du-Pape is produced from crops from one of the oldest vineyards in France owned by Vidal-Fleury economy. Production of the vintage in 2010 is in the long traditional maceration for 14 to 20 days under carefully controlled temperature of 30 ° C, and malolactic fermentation. The wine is aged on the lees in large barrels lasted for 12 months, then the wine is aged an additional 3 months in the bottle. Storage capacity of wine is 10 years. Vidal-Fleury company was founded in 1781. It is the oldest winery in the Rhone Valley, which owns a famous vineyard La Chatillonne. Creating appellyasona dates back to 1940.
