Wine Valdivieso Eclat, 2008

Wine Eclat 2008 - an impressive wine, with intense flavor, with bright acidity and soft tannins and complex flavor. Made of two atypical Chile grape - Carignano and Mourvedre - combined with Siroy, which gives the wine a distinct character and style. All varieties are grown in the Maipo Valley, in Melozal. This area is known for a dry climate, very hot summers and sandy soils. Under these conditions, the grapes is an exceptionally mature, fragrant, with soft tannins. Carignano age of vines is 60 years. Grapes were harvested by hand in the spring: Carignano - April 9, Mourvedre - April 17, Cyr - 22 of April. After careful selection of grapes was cold maceration for 48 hours. Fermentation in small stainless steel containers lasted 7-10 days, maceration of the skin 14 days. After pressing and malolactic fermentation, the wine is aged 12 months in French oak barrels. Ageing potential wine - up to 8 years. Wine Valdivieso Eclat 2008 won the contest Japan Wine Challenge bronze medal in 2011.
