Transcontinental Rum Line is a new brand of the French company Maison du Whiskey. It was launched in 2016 to the delight of all lovers of high-quality rum. The line is inspired by the historical travels of rum barrels between the New and Old Worlds. Since its production, rum has been shipped to Europe by sea for three reasons. First, it avoided the use of stagnant water during a long journey. Secondly, when aged in a continental climate, rum evaporates less quickly and matures more slowly. Third, because the know-how of masters from the Cognac region and Scotland and the variety of barrels contributed to the creation of unique Roma expressions. Each bottling of the Transcontinent Rum Line series reflects its share of aging in the continental climate.
"Transcontinental Rum Line" Jamaica WP, 2013 - rich, generous, juicy rum with a violent temperament and a harmonious combination of fruit and spicy shades. The rum was made in 2013 by distilling fermented molasses at Worthy Park’s facilities. It was kept for two years in Jamaica and for two and a half years in a much cooler European climate, which helped slow the ripening process. Bottling at a barrel fortress of 57% took place in 2017.
