The wine is dark ruby color.
Wine rich taste with fine acidity, sweet tannins and a long finish.
The concentrated aroma of the wine includes in its elegant bouquet of red ripe fruit, spices, hints of vanilla and toasted toast.
The wine goes well with red meats, game and cheeses.
Interesting Facts
Tenuta Tignanello, where the famous vineyards of Tignanello and Solaia, located between the valleys of the Pesa and Greve in Chianti, 30 km south of Florence. Tignanello extends over 350 hectares of which 147 hectares are vineyards.
Since the early seventies Tignanello was a laboratory for testing wine Antinori. Here conducted research aimed at the cultivation of grapes with higher concentration and supple tannins, varied planting density, pruning practices, breeding-Sangiovese. After many years of experience to achieve high quality, in 2001 it was decided to begin reconstruction of the historic vineyard Tignanello and introduction of new farming techniques. Tignanello is located at an altitude of 400 meters above sea level and has the features of the microclimate and soil. Special design yielded more fertile soil. Tignanello wine obtained with soft rounded tannins persist complexity and structure, typical of Sangiovese.
