"Nanfre" - a mild aromatic wine, a blend of grape varieties Corvina and Rondinella. Vineyards, where these varieties are grown, located in the municipality of Matstsane di Sotto at an altitude of about 300 meters above sea level. The climate of the region - dry and poor soil, mainly clay, with a small amount of limestone. Wines produced here, including the base and "Nanfre", acquire depth and character. The grapes are harvested by hand. Soft pressing is carried out using a pneumatic press. Fermentation with selected yeasts passes at a controlled temperature for 8-10 days. During the malolactic fermentation on the lees in stainless steel tanks regularly every 10 days spend batonnazh with a special mixer. Then the wine is kept for 4-6 months at a controlled temperature. The winery is located in the eastern part of the Valpolicella area called Monte Gharbi, on behalf of the hill, near which it is located. Vineyards cover an area of 50 hectares, 20 hectares of which went to the brothers inherited from their father Antonio Castañeda, and 30 hectares were purchased by the brothers in 1989. The vineyards are planted along the slopes of Mezzana, Laban and San Martino Bon Albergo at an average altitude of 350 meters above sea level.
