Tasting Notes
Wine rich ruby color.
Generous, full wine with attractive notes of dark fruit, leather, spices, roasted coffee beans and chocolate. Excellent balance and well-integrated silky tannins. Rich, long aftertaste.
The wine has a concentrated aroma with hints of blackberry, young grass and roses.
The wine goes well with pasta or risotto with tomato sauce, meat dishes, grilled meats, lamb.
Interesting Facts
Poggio al Tesoro - ambitious winery, a joint effort of the American businessman Leonardo Lo Kashio and wine house Allegrini. To date, there are more than 70 possessions hectares of vineyards in Bolgheri unique areas that are considered the best in Tuscany. The diversity of terroirs, clay soil with red sand, allow us to express the diversity of crops and to convey the complexity and depth of flavor produced wines.
Wine Sondraia - bright, fruity wine, which is produced primarily from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. Maceration and fermentation take place within 10 days under strictly controlled temperatures in stainless steel tanks with subsequent malolactic fermentation for 18 months in barriques of which 50% are new, and the rest was used up to one year.
