Wine Simonsig, Chenin Avec Chene, 2009
Wine brilliant pale golden color.
The taste of wine is filled with tones of caramel, baked apples, apricots and pears. Zesty acidity typical of the variety Chenin Blanc adds freshness and balance, long aftertaste noted classic minerality.
Complex aroma of wine is made up of floral and honey notes combines perfectly with spicy hints of cinnamon, caramelized sugar, subtle nuances toasty oak.
The wine is excellent as an aperitif, goes well with creamy cheeses.
2009 was marked by almost perfect weather conditions. Chenin Blanc has reached the optimum level of maturity and sophistication shown, soft tannins, smooth and ripe flavors. Wine turned round, with good color and outstanding fruit intensity, which has been noted in all the wines in the economy this year. Fermentation was carried out in a specially imported French oak barrels in which the wine is then matured for 11 months. To preserve the fine fruity taste only 33% of the barrels used for aging were new and added guilt delicate spicy nuances. At an early stage to improve the flavor extracts used regularly battonazh.
Vintage "Chenin Avec Chene 2009" won the silver medal at the international competition "Veritas 2010".
