The wine is bright straw color.
Thanks Semillon grape variety, which is a blend of wine trapped notes of lime, and Chardonnay brings a bunch of shades of white peach and green melon. Also has a subtle flavor and well integrated oak nuances. The finish is long, fresh and clean.

The name of the Rawson's Retreat line indicates the stone cottage that Dr. Christopher Rowson Penfolds built in 1845 among the famous Magell vineyard in Adelaide, where he and his wife Maria and daughter Georgina settled a year before the Penfolds winery was built .
