Raventos family rich history rooted in the distant 1497, when it was first mentioned owned property, which is then for centuries passed on from generation to generation. These concerns and Jose Raventos, who in 1872 began producing their own sparkling wine, now known to the world as Cava. The founder of the wine house in 1984, became a father and son Jose Maria and Manuel Raventos. Today, the family is in the possession of more than 90 hectares of land situated in the municipality of Sant Sadurní Barcelona, part of the autonomous community of Catalonia.
