Producer's description
The motto of the Italian family wine company Barbanera is: "Quality is our greatest passion . " For several generations of this family, wine is not just a job, but a higher calling. The company was founded in 1938 by Altero Barbanera and his wife Maria in the picturesque village of Piazza, where she is still located. During the Second World War, the winery practically did not develop, the market was limited only to the village itself. However, after the war, things went uphill. The wine was sold to other parts of Italy and quickly gained popularity there due to excellent quality and democratic prices. Over the years, the small winemaking industry has turned into modern production. An important milestone in development was 1982, when the first wine export to Germany and other European countries began. Modern "Barbanera" was transformed in 2007, and today it is a big enterprise that invariably follows the traditions of quality and is constantly improving.
