Strong alcoholic drink "Polugar" Royal was created according to an ancient recipe and technology, which were discussed in the book "Full Distillery and Distiller", dated 1805 year. It is based on rye distillate, in which, after treatment with charcoal and egg white, at least ten ingredients are added, and then distilled in a historically reconstructed copper distillery cube. Vodka "Polugar" Royal recommended to use as an aperitif or accompanied by dishes of Russian and Ukrainian cuisine.
According to the manufacturer, "Polugar" is "a revived historical Russian bread wine - the progenitor of modern vodka." Its release was suspended in 1895. Grain wine in the Russian Empire is another name for a strong grain distillate produced by distillation in special distilleries from copper. In the XIX century, they did not know the rectification of pure ethyl alcohol, therefore the traditional Polugar carefully preserved the bread aroma and soft taste of the raw material, that is, rye and wheat. Braga is made from selected Russian rye and / or wheat, then it goes through a three-time distillation in a special distillation cube made of copper, recreated by the creator of the Polugar according to old drawings. Cleaning is carried out using birch coal.
The company Rodionov with Sons, under the leadership of Boris Rodionov, is known to Russian connoisseurs of strong alcohol by limited series of unusual distillates produced on the basis of rye and representing a qualitatively new category of alcoholic beverages not presently present in the Russian market. In Russia, several products are known - Krivach, Polugar rye and Polugar malt. The latest addition to the company's portfolio is the Sivukha brand.
