Tasting Notes


The wine is dark ruby ​​color with a purple hue.


Wine gives a rich, dense, perfectly balanced taste with well integrated tannins and lively acidity. Seductive sweetish tones of strawberry, plum and other dark fruits decorated decoration of tobacco, cedar and smoky notes. The finish is smooth and long.

The estate Podere il Palazzino, from the middle of the XIX century belonged to the family of Sderchi, located in Gaiole - the southern sub-region of Chianti Classico, 20 km north-east from Siena. Most of the region is occupied by vineyards grow on the remaining olive groves. In 1972 Poder il Palazzina, things which were not as good as we would like, was inherited by the brothers Alessandro and Andrea Sderchi. In those days, viticulture was only a hobby for them, the two brothers saw their future in other professional fields (such as Alessandro served in one of the oldest banks in Italy).
