"Voglar" Sauvignon, dell'Alto Adige DOC, 2012 - fresh, well-structured white wine, created from grapes Sauvignon Blanc (100%). "Voglar" - this is the old name of the area where it grows historical vineyard and in translation from Italian dialectical its name "fogolar" means "fire". Initially, there grows a local red grape variety, but Peter dipoles, the founder of the company, from 1988 to 1991 completely replaced it with an international variety of Sauvignon Blanc. This rather high position of vines contributes to full maturity, without losing acidity and varietal aromas. Sandy soils have a high content of limestone and dolomite, and planting density of 5000-7000 vines per hectare. Crop harvested in late September, early October. In the process of making wine the grapes are fermented in large wooden barrels made of acacia in volume 19-58 ch for 10 days at a controlled temperature of 22 ° C. Peter Dipoli The company was founded in 1987 in the town of Neumarkt in the Italian wine-growing region of Alto Adige. The company's founder - Peter dipoles - was born on February 25th, 1954, he studied winemaking at the Graduate School of San Michele Adige, and then worked for 5 years at the research station, and then returned to the farm of his parents in Laymburg with the intention to create their own wines. He conducted a thorough investigation and concluded that the steep slopes near Bolzano are ideal for viticulture. For this, he bought a vineyard area of ​​1.2 hectares in the province Kortassiya in Alto Adige, and replaced it grows autochthonous grape variety on the international Sauvignon Blanc, as high hills formed the ideal conditions for its cultivation. Cool temperatures and a longer growing season contributed to the achievement of full maturity, which thus maintain a fresh acidity. The first harvest of Sauvignon Blanc vines collected after transplant in 1990. Not having its own winery, Peter dipoles harvest vinified at the winery of his friend and produces white wine Voglar in the amount of 1637 bottles. After purchasing an additional 10 acres of land, the winemaker starts to grow grapes of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, and produces two red wines and Fihl Iugum. Today, the vineyard area of ​​the company is 4.6 hectares.

A new stage in the life of Peter Dipoli was the acquisition in 1998, an old farm in the town of Neumarkt, which he has converted to the winery. Here it is with full dedication and inspiration started to create sophisticated red and white wines that reflect the terroir characteristics of Alto Adige.
