Dry red wine Cabernet, Piave DOC, 2013 is made from two grape varieties - Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. Campo di Pietra Vineyards are located in the basin of the Piave River to the south-east of Treviso, in the clay-humus soils rich in potassium. These soils are ideal for the production of elegant, fine red wines with a distinctive taste and aroma. The harvest is picked by hand. Alcoholic fermentation and maceration takes 12-15 days. Malolactic fermentation is completed in oak barrels. Wine matures in small French oak barriques for 1 year, then a few more months, the wine is aged in large oak barrels and has not less than one year of Cabernet aged in the bottle.
Careful and considerate approach to the production of wine in all its phases, starting with the harvest and ending with bottling, it allows to reveal perfect varietal characteristics of Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon and get equally elegant, balanced, expressive and stylish wine.
