District Corton-Charlemagne is located north of Beaune and has a completely different geological structure than in the Montrachet Grand Cru. Grand Cru Corton-Charlemagne is located on the territory of three villages: Aloxe-cardboard Pernand Verzheles and Ladoix-Serrigny. This beautiful terroir got its name from the famous Emperor Charle Magne, who purchased the plantation of grapes in most of his dominion, which in turn in 775 was proposed Saulieu Abbey.
