Interesting Facts

District Corton-Charlemagne is located north of Beaune and has a completely different geological structure than in the Montrachet Grand Cru. Grand Cru Corton-Charlemagne is located on the territory of three villages: Aloxe-cardboard Pernand Verzheles and Ladoix-Serrigny. This beautiful terroir got its name from the famous Emperor Charle Magne, who purchased the plantation of grapes in most of his dominion, which in turn in 775 was proposed Saulieu Abbey. Domain Olivier Leflaive Freres was founded by Olivier, his brother Patrick and his uncle Vincent in 1984. In addition, from 1990 to 1994, Olivier was one of the managers of the family business.

Today farming Olivier Leflaive owns approximately 12 hectares of vineyards in appellasonah Puligny-Montrachet, Meursault Premiers Crus, Chassagne-Montrachet Premier Cru, Bourgogne Aligoté and others.
