The small town of Nuits-Saint-Georges is the commercial center of the wine region of Côte de Nuits. It employs many large merchants, such as Joseph and Feveley Moyar. The vineyards are located on the slopes of the area and planted with Pinot Noir only. In Nuits-Saint-Georges and nearby Prem Prissy no Grand Cru vineyards class, but a lot of Premiers Crus, some wines which almost reach the level of grand cru, including Clos de L'Arlo. All these wines are quite bright, but with a balanced taste, sweet note and oak aroma with a hint of smoke.
Nuits-Saint-Georges Premiers Crus "Clos de l'Arlo" - white oily complex wine from producer Domaine de L'Arlo. Chardonnay for this wine is going to vineyards, where since 2002 are used exclusively biodynamic practices cultivation of vines, the average age of the vines here - 40 years. The grapes for the wine are harvested by hand and subjected to a double selection. Fermentation is carried out in oak barrels at controlled temperatures, wherein filtering is not performed. The wine aged for 12 months in oak barrels, 30% of which - new. Wine storage capacity - 15 years.
Domaine de l'Arlo produces red and white wines of controlled denomination of origin category premier cru. Red wines are produced from Pinot Noir, White - Chardonnay.
