Producer's description
Muller-Catoir - an old winery at the foot of the mountains Haardt, since 1744 belonging to the family Muller-Catoire. For more than 100 years, the winery was run exclusively by women of the family, and now it is headed by a representative of the ninth generation of the family - Philip David Catoire. Vineyards of the Muller-Catoire farm, certified as organic, cover an area of 20 hectares; 70% lies on the plateau, and 30% on the slopes. Wines Muller-Catoire surprisingly rich, concentrated, with bright fruit acidity. All wines are made from the farm's own harvest. Yield restriction, great attention to soil care and selective manual harvesting in small batches explain the intensity, ripe acidity and pure varietal character of wines, even small vintages of which always possess wealth and high quality.
