Historical region of Friuli - a wonderful place that is as Côte de Beaune in France, is capable of producing world-class wines. It was here, according to many wine producers have formed the best climate in the region, characterized by warm days with cool, refreshing breezes and cool nights. The soil under the vines is made of sandstone, limestone and marl, with an admixture of iron and volcanic elements. There winemakers farms cultivated red grape varieties - Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Refosco, as well as white varieties are grown - Friulano, Picolit, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc. The special composition of the soil influences the characteristics of the wine, since vines are forced to form an extensive root system to search for water in the mineral layers.
