"Marina Cvetic" Merlot - new wine from Masciarelli, the first vintage of which was published in 2006. Merlot grapes harvested in the second half of September in the vineyards located near Ankaran at an altitude of about 250 meters above sea level. Foundation soil of the region is a mixture of chalk. Age of vines - about 20 years. After fermentation at a temperature of 26 ° C in steel tanks for 20 days and malolactic fermentation, the wine is aged a year in new French oak barriques, and then a year - in bottles.
Masciarelli wine house was founded in 1978 in San Martino, but wine production began only in 1981, since the early years were devoted to research.
