Interesting Facts
"Furore" Rosso, Costa d'Amalfi DOC - red dry wine created from a blend of two grapes - Piedirosso and Aglianico. The berries grow on coastal terraces with dolomitic-calcareous soils at an altitude of 200-550 meters above sea level. Harvesting is carried out manually in the second decade of October. At the winery the grapes are sorted, crushed and subjected to careful pressovaniyu.Fermentatsiya and maceration takes place at a controlled temperature for 12 days. Malolactic fermentation takes place in French oak barrels second use. Matured wine is six months in the same oak barrels.

Winery Marisa Cuomo is situated in a picturesque rocky terrain of a small village of Furore. The village, located in the Gulf, was virtually invisible to travelers, it is not surprising that it was called Furore ( "village that does not exist").
In 1980, Andrea Ferraioli and his wife, Marisa Cuomo, founded the winery with vineyards with a total area of 10 hectares. Together with the oenologist, Luigi Moio, Marisa and Andrea focused on product quality, in order to stand out among the variety of Italian winemaking and to fully uncover the uniqueness and the extraordinary village of Furore. In the vineyards grow rare varieties of grapes, such as Fenile, Ginestra and Ripoli. Due to the extreme conditions in which growing grapes, wines are called "Vini Estremi".
To date, the annual production of the winery Marisa Cuomo is 50,000 bottles. farm products enjoy popularity and success, not only in Italy but also far beyond its borders.
