Producer's description
The company Bodegas Bocopa was founded in 1987, when a group of small wineries corporate parties from Alicante joined forces to expand markets. This decision was turning and the new company quickly gained a leading position in Valencia. The logo of the Bodegas Bocop on which the grapes are closely packed is reminiscent of a successful start of the enterprise - they symbolize cooperation and interaction.
The first co-produced wine of the brand “Vina Alone” won three gold medals at the Alicante Wine Exhibition. The next turning point came in 1993, with the launch of the Marina Alta wine collection. At the VINEXPO exhibition in Bordeaux, which is considered one of the most significant, the wines of this brand won a gold medal. The first 50 thousand bottles of “Marina Alta” were sold in a matter of days. In 1996, Bodegas Bocopa began producing organic wines, becoming one of the first wineries in this then still emerging market segment. Now the company is the world leader in sales of wines labeled “Bio”.
