Wine rich golden-straw color.
A full-bodied wine with an oily texture gives a rich, vibrant, surround taste with tones of bright fruit and a refreshing lively acidity. In an incredibly long aftertaste shades of peach, honey and vanilla harmoniously complemented by walnut motives.
Delightful expressive bouquet of wine envelops tantalizing aromas of lemon, quince, pear, honey and gingerbread framed notes of spices, almonds and smoky nuances.
Wine is disclosed in conjunction with foie gras, seafood and white fish with cream sauce.
Interesting Facts
Beautiful and stylish white wine "Les Rocoules" made from grape varieties Marsanne and Russan collected from vines over 50 years on the same vineyard "Le Rokul", one of the most prestigious in appellasone Hermitage. Marc Sorrel approach uses the "minimum intervention" in the production of this wine. Fermentation takes place in large oak barrels and lasts 8-10 weeks. Then the wine is aged for several months in steel tanks. Filtration before bottling is not made. Wine storage capacity up to 20 years.
In 1984, when his father died, Marc Sorrel inherited some vineyards. The first attempts at producing wines were not very impressive. But Mark did not abandon the dream of producing fine wines, and his efforts were crowned with success. Now Marc Sorrel is one of the best wine producers in the traditional style of the Hermitage. Its grape production is based on non-interference. The grapes are harvested by hand. Mark practicing late harvest to complete ripening of the grapes. It does not use new oak barrels and its wines are aged up to two years in the cellar of the winery. Mark Sorrell wine known throughout the world for their quality, rarity and durability.
