Interesting Facts
Madre, first produced in 2001, is the newest wine Poggio Antico. It soon gained international recognition (77 th place in the "Top 100 Wines of 2004" by the American magazine "Wine Enthusiast"). The name of the wine of the same name received from the area, part of the possessions of Poggio Antico. Wine is produced in a limited number (only 500 cases).

Poggio Antico - a winery hidden in one of the most elevated estates of Montalcino. Conducting her work with painstaking attention to detail and adhering to a very low yield, she produces excellent wines that are truly unique in their elegance and complexity. Poggio Antico specializes in wines from the Brunello di Montalcino brand, carefully made from Sangiovese grapes grown in the cool hills of Montalcino.
