Dry red wine Louis Guntrum, Pinot Noir created from the same-grape variety grown on lime-clay soils plots located on the slopes of Reinhessen. The yield of the vineyards is moderate, the viticultural principles are close to the natural. Hand-picked grapes are carefully pressed, then placed in steel tankers, where they undergo alcoholic fermentation at 25 ° C. Wine matures in oak barrels for several months.

In 2003, the winery Louis Guntrum was headed by a representative of the eleventh generation of the Guntrum family - Louis Konstantin Guntrum. There is documentary evidence that on May 15, 1545, Emperor Charles V bestowed the coat of arms on the Guntrum family, and in 1648, the Guthrum family cultivated grapes and made wine in the small village of Reinhessen. Today, the company owns 15 hectares of vineyards, in which unique terroirs Nirsteiner and Openheim. The red slopes of the plots in Niersteiner give rise to amazing Riesling - with fine minerality and an elegant body. Each year, the winery produces about 150,000 bottles of standard volume wine.
