The wine is dark ruby color.
The taste of the wine is full, deep, with notes of ripe fruit, ripe tannins and a stunning finish.
The wine shows a generous, expressive aroma, woven from the berry, mineral and oak notes.
This wine can recommend the beef sauce, game, poultry dishes and aged cheeses.
Interesting Facts
Powerful, full-bodied wine Chateau Ferrier made from grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot, which are grown in the center of Margot, on the basis of zhirondskogo gravel with clay-limestone subsoil. Local terroir contributes to early ripening. Vines with an average age of 35 years, grow in the area of 8 hectares. Assembled by hand, the harvest was maceration in containers made of steel with thermal control for 19-24 days, fermentation in stainless steel tanks and malolactic fermentation in barriques. Excerpt lasted 18 months and took place in oak barriques, 40% of which - new. After clarification, using egg white, the wine bottled.
Chateau Ferriere - this is probably the smallest economy in the Medoc and its vineyards occupy only 8 hectares. Chateau got its name by the name of the merchant, who owned this Château in the XVIII century - Gabriel Ferrier, a relative who was mayor of Bordeaux. Throughout its history from the XVIII to XX century it belonged to only two families. It has consistently Bordeaux, especially taking into account the invasion of phylloxera, the economic crisis and the two world wars that occurred during this time. The fact that the Chateau Ferrier is one of the smallest farms in the Medoc, gives us the full right to be called wine Chateau Ferrier rare wines.
