Wine Leeuwenkuil, "Lion's Lair" Shiraz, 2014

Leeuwenkuil - family winery, pride Willie and Emma Dreyer. Having met in 16 years, they have managed to create a strong family and build a successful company. "Leeuwenkuil" translates as "lion's den". This name reminds us of the times when in the area lived ferocious lions who used to hunt cattle locals. Willie inherited half of a farm of 45 hectares of vineyards and 30 miles north of Cape Town along the west coast of South Africa, the hosts are already many hundreds of years were his ancestors. He and his wife - the hereditary farmers who infinitely love their land, adhering to the belief that "we do not inherit the earth from our fathers, but rather borrow it from our children." The focus of all their endeavors, they put family values, so each of their five children found their place in the company, but it has its own interests and aspirations.

Winery Leuvenkul not only produces wines under his own name, but also creates them for other manufacturers, using the harvest from their vineyards, the area of which today has already reached more than 1250 hectares, and the harvest of proven suppliers.
