Karthauserhof, Riesling trocken - juicy, refreshing wine made from Riesling grapes that grow in the vineyards in the village Aytelsbah. The soils here - clay and shale, rich in minerals, especially iron, which allows you to collect high-quality crop, which is grown without the use of chemicals. Vinification takes place in a vaulted cellar under the building of the winery. The process of fermentation and aging of wine for 6 months are in stainless steel.

Producer's description
The centuries-old history of the manor Karthauserhof originates in the XIII century, when the estate belonged to the archbishops of Trier. Then they owned the Carthusian monks, in 1811 the estate "Karthoyzerhof" was bought Roytensshtrauh family, and in the second generation of its owner becomes Christophe Tyurell.
Winery "Karthauserhof" is located in the region Aytelsbah total vineyard area of 19 hectares, which is cultivated Riesling (90%) and other grape varieties. The estate is a member of the prestigious Association of German VDP. In 1997, Christophe Tyurell was awarded the title of "Best manufacturer of German wines." Wines from "Karthoyzerhof" presented with a single label, framing the neck of the bottle. Symbol on the label goes to the ancient traditions of the estate "Karthauserhof", a blue and gold bezel - the traditions of family Roytensshtrauh. Cross and miter depicted in honor of the Duke of Luxembourg Baldwin, and wheel and the letter "C" - in memory of the patroness Elizabeth.
