Wine has a rich red-garnet color.
Sredneteloe, well-balanced, elegant wine with a fruity taste and soft tannins.
The wine has a strong, harmonious aroma with notes of ripe berries and hints of grass and undergrowth.
The wine goes well with European cuisine. Particularly suited to the local Italian dishes - smoked pork chop sauce or horseradish mustard, served with vegetable garnish.
Interesting Facts
"Blau & Blau", 2011 - an excellent red wine, whose first vintage was produced from the harvest of 2000. Wine "Blau & Blau" is a blend of two grape varieties: Blaufraenkisch (also known as Franconia) - historical variety that grows Jermann family since the 1800's, and Blauburgunder (or Pinot Noir). Hence the name of the wine, which consists of two "Blau". Wine was created in honor of the youngest child in the family Silvio Yermana - his daughter Sylvia Tuniny. After fermentation, "Blau & Blau" is aged 16 months in small barrels made of French oak. Wine storage potential is 5-7 years, but new wine is ready for use.
It is said Silvio, "in the days when I was a little boy, my parents told me about the grandfather's vineyard, where he grew Blaufrenkish (Blaufraenkisch). Many years later, I decided to renew the tradition: I wanted to be closer to the Central European roots of his family, to the spirit and the world. I have dedicated this wine Tunine Sylvia, who was born on the same day, when the wine "Vintage Tunina" was named "Best white wine of Italy". "
It all started in 1881 when Anton Jermann - praprapradeda Silvio Yermana, founder of Jermann - left the Austrian wine region of Burgenland, and later the vineyards of Slovenia, to take root in the Italian region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia. Here, in the small village of Villanova di Farra, he founded his family winery. And in 1970, Silvio Jermann made a real revolution in winemaking. Friuli - a region located in the north of Italy and borders with Slovenia, has always had a reputation manufacturer of light aromatic white wines that are easy to drink, but not of particular interest outside the region. Silvio Jermann was the one who forever changed this view. He is deservedly considered a true artist in the wine industry in the region. Silvio brought us incredible success and worldwide fame. Today owning farms Jermann stretches over 150 hectares of land, of which 130 hectares are vineyards, while the remaining 20 are given under cereal crops grown for the production of organic flour.
