The wine has an elegant, rounded flavor with a soft, concentrated tannins, hints of raspberry, cassis and pepper in a saturated finish.

Hermitage wine for several years are the best of all the wines in the north of the Rhone Valley. This is confirmed by the high ratings, wine experts and critics. Hermitage "Monier de la Sizerann" - is monosepazhnoe wine made from Syrah grapes elite grown in the unique conditions of the old Hermitage appellation. The main difference appellation - it's different terroirs, located on the west to the east and consisting of gravel and granite alluvial terraces, silty soils with a strong presence of stones, and characterized by a temperate climate, which provides the highest quality grapes and flavoring "Monier de la Sizerann" refinement and high tannin content.
Fermentation of wine produced in open wooden vats at a temperature of 26-32 degrees. The wine matures 12 months in oak barrels, of which one-third - new. Hermitage Monier de La Sizerannene filtered and clarified to obtain a pure color is poured several times, gradually released from the sediment.

The current president of the Wine House - Michel Chapoutier - a representative of the seventh generation of the family, a person charismatic and energetic, curious and visionary. Before becoming a winemaker, Michel traveled. During these visits, he carefully studied the diversity, richness and subtlety of wine. In his farm he managed to combine this knowledge with the rich traditions of the family.

At the moment M. Shaputier owns one of the most prestigious estates in the Rhone Valley. Wines are produced in the appellations of the Hermitage, Croz Hermitage, Cote Roti, Condrieu, Saint-Joseph, Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Trikasten. The largest estate of the family Shaputier is in the Hermitage. In addition, the household of Shaputier keeps under control the production and sale of wines in the appellation Kornas, Saint-Perey, Muscat de Bom-de-Veniz, Côte-du-Rhône Vilage and Tavel. Michelle Shapoutier, who became head of the company in 1990, regards as his most significant achievement the transition to biodynamic methods of working in vineyards, since they are the ones that best allow us to reflect the qualitative characteristics of terroirs. M. Chapoutier wines repeatedly won the highest score of 100 points in the ranking of the famous wine critic Robert Parker.
