Wine of deep ruby-garnet color with purple reflections.
The taste of wine is soft, round, with hints of ripe black berries and minerals, pleasant tannins and light salty nuances in the aftertaste.
The wine shows a fresh, harmonious aroma with dominant shades of blackberry, licorice, fig and nougat.
The wine goes well with any meat dishes, game and mature cheeses.

Grassl, "Rubin Carnuntum" - a classic for every day and every occasion. This elegant, aromatic wine combines everything that is required from a universal high-grade red wine. It conquers with dark color, fragrant aroma and rich taste with excellent residual sweetness, which appetizing prompts to the next sip. As Philip Grassl says, “although the Romans, who had once founded and inhabited the Carnuntum region, could not have known about Zweigelt grapes, they would gladly enjoy wine from it . ” Grapes for making wine are harvested by hand from uneven-aged vines (from 7 to 45 years old). Fermentation in contact with grape skins takes place in steel tanks. For malolactic fermentation and aging throughout the year barriques (10%) and 500-liter oak barrels are used. Wine storage capacity is 6 years.

The small family winery Grassl , located in the oldest wine region of Austria - Carnuntum, owns 24 hectares of vineyards. Carnuntum is an ideal region for viticulture. Its stony limestone and loess soils are equally suitable for the cultivation of white and red grapes. The concept of the winery is to focus on red wines, a clear assortment with simple labels and, most importantly, high quality products. Family Grassle produces, in the best sense of the word, "earthly" wines that have international quality. The Grassell wines are among the "100 best wines in Austria", received the title "Best red wine of Austria" and "Best Zweigelt".
