Wine Grassl, Gruner Veltliner, 2017
The wine is pale straw color.
The taste of the wine is juicy, well balanced, with a refreshing acidity and a pleasant aftertaste with delicate vanilla tints.
The aroma of wine is dominated by bright spicy notes of white pepper and vanilla.
The wine is perfectly combined with traditional dishes of Austrian cuisine (baked chicken, braised veal), simple home-made dishes, Pan-Asian cuisine and soft cheeses.
Being the "aboriginal" of the Lower Austria region, the Grüner Veltliner variety is an excellent basis for creating a fresh Grassl wine , Gruner Veltliner , harmoniously complementing the Grassell wine list. Grüner Veltliner is grown on vines of different ages (from 10 to 40 years), located on the southeastern sand and gravel slopes. Their terroir provides complex temperature changes throughout the day, which allows the grapes to mature to the stage of full ripeness in the daytime and develop a delicate complexity at night. Being a traditional Austrian wine, Grüner Veltliner is perfectly combined with classic dishes of Austrian cuisine.
The small family winery Grassl , located in the oldest wine region of Austria - Carnuntum, owns 24 hectares of vineyards. Carnuntum is an ideal region for viticulture. Its stony limestone and loess soils are equally suitable for the cultivation of white and red grapes. The concept of the winery is to focus on red wines, a clear assortment with simple labels and, most importantly, high quality products. Family Grassle produces, in the best sense of the word, "earthly" wines that have international quality. The Grassell wines are among the "100 best wines in Austria", received the title "Best red wine of Austria" and "Best Zweigelt".
