Interesting Facts
Allegrini family owns about 70 hectares of vineyards in the Valpolicella area, including areas in the unique and historic areas. The vineyards are managed Walter, Marlies and Frank Allegrini, today their company is considered one of the largest in Italy. The dominant feature of the production of all kinds of products is expressionism. In addition to unique wines, Allegrini produce two types of grappa: Grappa di Recioto and Amarone di Grappa.
Grappa di Recioto has an exquisite aroma and cherry flavor, typical for this region. For its production using varieties Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara.
Grape scrap obtained are subjected to soft pressing, and then distilled in copper pot stills. Due to the slow and intermittent distillation process fails to convey the fullest aroma and flavor characteristics of the grapes. Grappa di Recioto kept in glass containers about 18 months.
