The grapes for this port is going to Malvedush single vineyard, which is located on the northern shore of slate terraces at the confluence of the rivers Douro and Tua and has a southern exposure. Since the mid-1980s, the vineyard is doing a great program transplant vines, so the average age of the vines is about 20 years, but the "old" terraces it reaches even 45 years. Malvedush is one of the best vineyards in the Douro Valley, although the difficult period of the 1920s, when global demand for port fell to a minimum, Graham had to sell and buy back the vineyard was only 50 years later.
