Interesting Facts
Gewurztraminer grapes grown on the steep slopes of the hills in the village of Tramin. Soils - light, well ventilated and can quickly heat up. Assembled shredding and berries are easy pressing, the juice is left for a few hours in contact with the skin at a low temperature. This is followed by another neat pressing, the must is clarified and fermented at a constant temperature of 20 ° C. This vinification is the best impact on the organoleptic characteristics of this unique wine, allowing to preserve and enhance the typical varietal characteristics of the grapes.
Hofstatter winery is named after its founder, Joseph Hofstattera, more than a century.
