Interesting Facts

Mancino Vermouth, Chinato - high quality vermouth, created by the world famous Italian bartender Giancarlo Mancino from three vermouths: Secco, Bianco and Rosso, red wine from Barbera grapes grown in the Asti DOCG zone and pure cinchona bark (Calissaja). At Quinato, Giancarlo took vermouth to the next level, displaying a rich, deep palate with pleasant bitterness and notes of red wine. Kinato is a wonderful aperitif and digestif. It can be consumed both chilled and warmed to room temperature.

Producer's description

In the Italian mountains, just above Lake Como, the Francoli family began distilling in 1875. It was then that Luigi Guglielmo Francoli produced the first grappa in the mountain village of Campodolcino. The Francoli company as we know it today, located in Gemma (Piedmont), was founded in 1951. Year after year, production expanded, new enterprises were opened and existing ones were absorbed. This eventually led to the creation of Gruppo Francoli (Fratelli Francoli) .
Today, Gruppo Francoli is still owned by the Francoli family and is an active producer and distributor of grappa, liqueurs, wine and other drinks. All the grapes used by Fratelli Francoli to make drinks come from the Piedmont region. The company became the first distillery to officially receive Impatto Zero certification. This means that the production that takes place here does not have any impact on the environment. This has always been important to the Francoli family and is therefore one of its core values. The heat used in the distillation process comes entirely from vegetable fuels, ensuring CO2 neutral emissions. In addition, the plant helps protect more than 340,000 square meters of forest in Costa Rica.
