2012 was the most difficult for the last 22 years. Very hot summers and rainy autumn led to the fact that the grape harvest was low due to drought at one stage and mold on the other stage. The grapes are harvested later than in previous years. But the quality of the wine is not affected by weather conditions. For wine we selected only healthy, high quality berries, which made excellent wine that have the charm of southern France.
Les Vignobles Foncalieu is a large cooperative that brings together 1,200 members and produces wines around the Languedoc, including the territory of the Minervois. Despite the large number of small farmers working on their own vineyards, the cooperative has developed a common program aimed at improving the quality of grown grapes and produced wine. Was introduced strict control for planting certain varieties of grapes and their processing. Harvesting is done by machine, but before entering the winery all berries are carefully selected.
