The current owner of Domaine Jean Chartron - Jean-Michel Chartrons is a member of the fifth generation of the famous Burgundy wine dynasty. The domain was founded in 1859 by great-grandfather, Jean-Michel named Jean-Edouard Dyupard, who was involved in winemaking and cooperage. At that time, due to a lack of underground cellars of the main part of the wine sold in barrels merchants and wine Domaine Jean Chartrons were bought mostly by German traders. The first bottled wine own production decided to Father Jean-Michel, who since the 90s of the last century has significantly increased the number of family-owned vineyards.
