Producer's description
Champagne house De Sousa et Fils with magnificent old vineyards located in the municipality of Avize in the prestigious wine region of France - Champagne. In the twelfth century, Avize was a small town surrounded by walls and moats. Today it is famous for the production of high quality wines that are appreciated all over the world.
Eric De Souza, the current owner, is committed to organic and biodynamic farming. Champagne House has a certificate of organic and biodynamics, and produces wines without the use of pesticides, herbicides, maintaining the natural microclimate of the soil.
The vineyard area is 11 hectares. The main cultivated varieties are Chardonnay (60%), Pinot Noir (30%) and Pinot Meunier (10%). Planting density - 8000 vines per hectare. The annual production is about 100,000 bottles of excellent wines.
