Cotes du Rhone wine Vilyazh Bois de Moine Chateau Zhigonyan 2009 is made from grapes from vineyards located on the hillside, on soils of sand and limestone, southern exposure. Wine was bottled in June 2009, a total of 16,000 bottles.
Château Zhigonyan located near the village of Sorgues, near the famous Le Grand Zhigonyan, it was built in the 19th century, initially there was a monastery. Calle family acquired the castle in 1966 and has invested heavily in its complete reconstruction, including basements and industrial premises. Now they own 72 hectares of vineyards in three appellasonah France: Cotes du Rhone, Cotes du Rhone and Chateauneuf The Village du-Pape. The new team, led by winemakers Laura Ambroise and Eloy dyurbe of the legendary Domaine de Trevallon completely switched to organic production and immediately doubled the yield of the winery. All the changes have transformed the Chateau Zhigonyan a world-class winery.
