The taste of wine is well balanced, round, fresh, with soft tannins, notes of dark fruit.
The aroma of wine spicy, fruity, with hints of raspberries, blackberries and cherries.

Wine "Vigne du Prieure" Rouge, 2011 is made from several grape varieties, as is customary in the Rhone Valley, with an area of 38 hectares of vineyards surrounding the Château. The soils in this area are built of limestone marl. Average age of vines is about 35 years. Grapes crushed and subjected to a fermentation at a controlled temperature and maceration from 3 to 15 days, depending on the crop. The wine is bottled a small party in the 12200 bottles. It can be drunk now or postpone for several years.
Château Zhigonyan located near the village of Sorgues, near the famous Le Grand Zhigonyan, it was built in the XIX century, there was originally a monastery. Calle family acquired the castle in 1966 and has invested heavily in its complete reconstruction, including basements and industrial premises. The new team, led by winemakers Laura Ambroise and Eloy dyurbe of the legendary Domaine de Trevallon completely switched to organic production and immediately doubled the yield of the winery. All the changes have transformed the Chateau Zhigonyan a world-class winery.
