Calle family acquired the castle in 1966 and has invested heavily in its complete reconstruction, including basements and industrial premises. Now they own 72 hectares of vineyards in three appellasonah France: Cotes du Rhone, Cotes du Rhone and Chateauneuf The Village du-Pape. The new team, led by winemakers Laura Ambroise and Eloy dyurbe of the legendary Domaine de Trevallon completely switched to organic production and immediately doubled the yield of the winery. All the changes have transformed the Chateau Zhigonyan a world-class winery.
