Wine Cotes du Rhone Blanc Vin du Château Prieuré Zhigonyan 2009 made from grapes from vineyards growing on sandy marl and limestone soils surrounding the chateau. The average age of the vines about 19 years. Wine bottled in March 2010, a total of 4,600 bottles. It can be drunk now or postpone until 2015.
Château Zhigonyan located near the village of Sorgues, near the famous Le Grand Zhigonyan, it was built in the 19th century, initially there was a monastery. Calle family acquired the castle in 1966 and has invested heavily in its complete reconstruction, including basements and industrial premises. Now they own 72 hectares of vineyards in three appellasonah France: Cotes du Rhone, Cotes du Rhone and Chateauneuf The Village du-Pape. The new team, led by winemakers Laura Ambroise and Eloy dyurbe of the legendary Domaine de Trevallon completely switched to organic production and immediately doubled the yield of the winery. All the changes have transformed the Chateau Zhigonyan a world-class winery.
